Privacy Policy

FormForge is a strength-training app for iPhone. This page explains what it stores, where, and what you control. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

What stays on your phone

Your workouts, sets, training settings, body measurements and progress photos are stored on your iPhone first, so the app works with no signal. Progress photos never leave your phone.

What syncs to your account

When you sign in, FormForge keeps a private copy of your profile, workouts, sets, training settings, programs, coach conversations and your daily readiness score so you can use it on another device and restore it later. Your account is protected with your email and password, and only you can read your data.

Your data is stored with Berth, the backend service that runs FormForge accounts, on servers operated for FormForge. It is not shared with other apps.

Apple Health

With your permission, FormForge reads sleep and resting heart rate to calculate a daily readiness score, and can save finished workouts to Apple Health. If you're signed in, the readiness score and the night's total sleep minutes are saved to your account alongside your training. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never sold.

AI coach

When you ask the coach a question, use the machine camera, or view an AI insight, the relevant training details (for example today's plan, recent sets, and your question or photo) are sent to an AI model provider through OpenRouter to generate the answer. They are used only to answer that request. Don't include anything in a question you wouldn't want processed this way. You can turn the AI coach off in Settings.

Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We keep your subscription status (plan, renewal date, trial) so Pro works across your devices.

Notifications

If you allow them, FormForge sends reminders such as rest alerts, training nudges and a reminder before a free trial ends. You can turn them off in iOS Settings.

Your controls

• Export everything as CSV or JSON from the app.
• Clear local data on this phone at any time from Settings.
• Delete your account from Profile. This deletes your account and the data stored with it.

Children

FormForge is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
